traditional metal. Carbon is a vital substance for everything from pencil

 The "Flanders Cut" was created by a brilliant
gemologist in 1983. It was polished for the first time at the end of 1987
in a small diamond polishing factory near Antwerp, the world capital of
diamonds. Antwerp is the capital of Flanders, the northern federal region
of Belgium. This gorgeous diamond cut bears the name of the region where
it was first polished. Confirmed for its exceptional brilliance by the
HRD, Europe's most prestigious Gemological Institute, the "Flanders Cut"
is the result of high-level creativity and the polishing expertise of
Antwerp craftsmen.
The "Flanders Cut" has 61
facets. It has a very complex symmetry. In order to achieve the absolute
brilliance all the facets have to be positioned in a very precise way. In
comparison with the round brilliant, it will take in average 1/3 more time
to cut a "Flanders Cut".
 The secret of its exceptional brilliance lies in
the fact that the basic structure of the classical round brilliant is
respected once the stone is cut into its octagonal shape, like a square
Emerald Cut. The arrival of the “Flanders Cut” on the eve of the 3rd
Millennium has set higher standards for the 21st century regarding diamond
brilliance and has opened up new, sophisticated and exciting possibilities
for jewelry design.
